Strange Brew has been on the music scene since 1995. Their original band played clubs in the NY/NJ metro area, like Rock & Roll Cafe, NYC... The Capital Theater, in Rye, NY... Crossroads, in Garwood, NJ... and Club Bene' in Sayreville, NJ... and many other local blues clubs and venues, as mentioned on their 'History' page. Back in the 1990's, Dan also appeared on The David Letterman Show... and Strange Brew performed on the Today Show, live from Giant Stadium. Today, this seven piece band performs the best of Eric Clapton's signature songs, including favorites from the many different bands that Clapton has performed in.
Lead singer, Dan Molloy, not only recreates Clapton's vocals... but he looks just like him, too. And this is just one facet in the life of Dan Molloy... businessman, CEO of his own sales development company, triathlete on the world stage - and musical performer. As an added bonus, Dan weaves in little stories in between songs about the life of Clapton, helping his audience to appreciate the complexities of Claptons life... and the driving force behind many of his songs.
And as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Eric Clapton is not easy to emulate... but Strange Brew's well-seasoned lead guitarists - Mario Giampaglia and Mike Smith - easily pull it off with style and grace.
The music and the show are suitable for all audiences. So if you're looking for a great band that delivers an authentic sound - woven around the stories of Clapton's life, then look no further!
