Strange Brew in Paradise

Brew music heard on the island of St. Martin!

Caroline, Emanuel and Dan... at Radio Transat 106.1 FM - St. Martin, French West Indies

Doreen and I were very fortunate to spend a week on the French Side of St. Martin in the French West Indies this past week [January, 2003]... And what a surprise! I was listening to a wonderful radio station in the car and decided to stop in to see the staff. My mission was to see what www.strangebrew.com sounded like so far away...

The owner of the station, a man by the name of Christian was very nice, however during my first visit their computer was tied up with something else, so he asked me to come back the next day at 5:00 PM. Now this was not a real inconvenience given we were just lying around anyway... reading and getting fat. So I journeyed to Marigot the next afternoon and met two wonderful Transat employees, Caroline and Emanuel who let Doreen and I in to surf through Strange Brew.

Let me share with you that the the quality of the broadcast in St. Martin, 2500 miles away, was every bit as good as it is here. I was very impressed with the quality of the sound. I have no idea how many "hops" the music made, but it was very easy to get going and came in loud and clear.

Again... I offer thanks to my new friends on the wonderful island of St. Martin and invite my listeners here in the USA to tell their friends around the world about our music.

Dan...

I just may have to open an office here...
